“The youth group is a life group: we just do life together through supporting each other in everything, including sporting events, concerts”
We love to have fun while we apply God’s Word to our lives and live out the mission of the church. Our heart as a youth group is expressed in Paul’s words from Ephesians 4:11-16:
“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. ”
We believe that you are never too young to be the hands and feet of Jesus in this world (1 Timothy 4:12).
Hydrate is where we journey together through God’s Word in an open and relaxed atmosphere. Through asking questions and praying for each other, the group develops a close relationship as they seek to make an impact in each other’s lives. We meet every Tuesday night from 6:30 to 8:00 at The Barn – Youth Room behind the offices of Lighthouse Church.
We also have monthly events on Saturday evenings called OVERFLOW, where we come to fellowship, worship, celebrate, play games, and have a place where students feel comfortable bringing their friends. These events are typically held at the church but occasionally make their ways to other events such as high school football games, christian concerts, ect.
We have several youth getaways throughout the year including Youth Retreats, and Summer Mission trips.
