Do you often call what you do on Sunday mornings, “going to church?” I did as well for years until I realized that going to church was viewed in similar ways as going to a movie, going to a game, going to dinner … Here at Lighthouse we believe we as followers of Jesus are the “church” rather than church being a place that we go to.
We would love for you to join us this Sunday as we Gather as the Church to worship God, sing to Him, hear the Word of God, fellowship with each other and take this time to be equipped to go and make disciples of all nations. We gather at 10am and have age appropriate classes for your children up through 5th grade. We look forward to gathering with you and together we will grow in Christ.
I am super excited about this Sunday as we will begin our look at The Church. The book of Acts was also written by Luke and was the follow up to the life of Jesus. The book of Acts covers both Descriptive Truths as well as Prescriptive Truths. We will look at the book of Acts while asking the question, “As the church what am I called to?” The book of Acts gives us a clear mission to accomplish as well as the vision to which we can fulfill this mission from Jesus. We will understand the Power we have as well as the Responsibility we have in Christ. I look forward to the next several months as we look into this study together. If you want to be prepared for this Sunday go ahead and read chapters 1-2 of Acts.
See you Sunday.
