What happens in your heart when you recognize that you have sinned, you are confronted with your sin or you just know that you fell into a temptation? In Luke 5:8, Peter fell down at the feet of Jesus when he recognized who Jesus was compared to himself. Often we compare ourselves to people around us. Sometimes we do this in order to feel better about ourselves and sometimes we do this at the detriment of our self-esteem.
In the message from Sunday, we looked through an important passage of scripture that helps us keep our eyes focused on the hope that we have in Christ. Yes, we should fall down at his feet like Peter did, but we must know the extent of His love for us. Hebrews 10 shows us the great love of God and why He had to send His Son Jesus to die.
I encourage you to watch this video and gather with others through your Life Group, phone conversations or even a cup of coffee together to talk this message through. Just learning an academic truth is not what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Jesus did not tell us to go and learn information, but to go and Make Disciples of All Nations.
