Even though they finished the construction, the JOB was far from completed! Do you ever feel that you move from one job to complete to the next job to complete? Most of our lives follow this pattern. Here in Nehemiah 11-13, we see the pattern of completed project but unfinished JOB. To Nehemiah, the JOB was not the wall, the temple or the altar. The JOB was the people living a life focused on a Zeal for God.
The construction was completed and the process of building the people continued. Sometimes this building up of the people is tough. Nehemiah leaves for a while because of his previous commitment to the king, but on his return he finds a mess.
