In June of 2000 I married the woman of my dreams … I know that seems cheesy but it is true. Over the past 19 years God has blessed us in many ways, especially with Ansley and Cade.
I have a strong burden for this community and for those who are hurting around us. Through serving others and meeting their needs both physical and spiritual, I desire to bring glory and honor to God. As a part of Lighthouse Church I started a one day a month time of service to our community called Action Day. I believe that Christ followers should show the love of God in truth and in Action – 1 John 3:18. Natalie and I along with our team desire to see Lighthouse continue to develop into a body of believers that is passionate about the community and each other as a Family.
Natalie and I lead and host a Life Group that focuses on all areas of a families spiritual needs. As a Family of Families we gather at each other’s house to worship together, to build upon our relationships as family and to serve the Kingdom together. Our Life Group is a special group of people in our lives. Our desire is to see our Life Group and the other groups at Lighthouse grow and multiply. The key to this multiplication within our Life Group Relationships is Discipleship! Our hearts thrive through discipleship and how we can lead others toward a deeper relationship with Christ.
I enjoy building relationships with people through work and recreation. I enjoy spending great quality time with my family as we enjoy the outdoors together, serve others together and study the Word of God together. God has blessed me with an incredible family that would love to get to know you and your family!
As the pastor of Lighthouse Church it is an honor leading this group of people into a deeper understanding of the Word of God. We would love for you to partner with us as we take the good news of the Gospel to the ends of the earth!

Dusty is a Charleston native who grew up on James Island. After graduating from the College of Charleston, he spent time in Sheffield, England immersed in the missional church movement and then onto a church plant in Texas before returning to the Lowcountry!
He has led worship in multiple contexts since 1998. He has been a part of the Lighthouse team since 2010 leading the Worship Team, Life Groups and as part of the Pastoral teaching team.
Dusty and his beautiful bride, Tammy, have celebrated 16 years of marriage and love raising their three children together! They love board games, roller coasters, hitting the ball fields, taking in local Battery and RiverDog games, and so much more as a family.
Dusty is passionate about leading others in worshiping God whether it’s in the context of music, teaching or spending time with others.
A native of the Lowcountry, Sharon grew up, went to school, and has worked in the greater Charleston area her entire life. She has spent most of her professional years in business administration/management and began serving as a volunteer in Lighthouse’s office in 2003. Sharon and her husband Keith joined Lighthouse in 2002 and are known throughout the church for their warmth and hospitality…their home is always open and something is always on the table! Sharon is very close to her family and appreciates them all living close by. Sharon accepted a staff position in 2003 and will always be one of the first faces you see when you visit Lighthouse.

Katelyn and I were both raised in Hanahan and graduated from Hanahan High School, where we started dating. We continued our education at Clemson University where I received my degree in Psychology and Nonprofit Leadership in 2016. Katelyn (former valedictorian) received her nursing degree in 2017.
With regard to my relationship with Jesus, I surrendered my life when I was about 4 years old in Sunday School. I heard the gospel and it made sense to me. When I was in 7th grade, I decided that if I said I believed in something so radical, I was going to try to live like it. I was about 13 years old when I began to “own my faith” and dying to myself to follow Christ.
I felt the call to student ministry during my senior year at Hanahan High. I was able to lead at my high school’s FCA huddle and it was the highlight of my week. I admitted that my skills and interests were aligned with full time ministry and I began preparing for a possible opportunity through serving with FCA and at my local church while in Clemson.
I would be a worse follower of Jesus without Katelyn. She gave her life to Christ in 2012 and has never been the same. Even though she has a challenging job she’s able to comfort me, challenge me, and serve with me. I can’t imagine life without her.
I love the students at Lighthouse! We are focused on having fun, being REAL, and learning about Jesus. I’d love to chat about how you can be a part of this ministry at 843-408-2309.

I am originally from Massachusetts and spent my entire childhood and a good part of my adult life living within a hundred mile radius of the hospital I was born in! Needless to say, I wasn’t one to wander too far from home! I attended a small college (close to home of course!) and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education.
My family and I came to visit a friend in 2004 and that, folks, was the end of my “stay close to home” mentality! Home is where your heart is, and our hearts were very much here in South Carolina! We felt it almost immediately. In August 2005, we moved to Mount Pleasant, fell in love with the Low Country and I am certain that God had plans for our lives (Jeremiah 29:11)! My son, Matthew is 17, a junior at Wando High School and currently playing on the varsity baseball team. My daughter, Riley is 14 and is a freshman at Wando also. She is a ballet dancer and is part of the high school chorus program. They are both involved with Lighthouse Church and its various ministries and have many friends through their Youth Group. We began attending Lighthouse Church in 2009 and quickly called it our second home or “families of families” (another place where our hearts were!). I began as a preschool teacher at Lighthouse Christian Learning Center in 2005, before attending church here, and taught until 2011 when I felt led to apply for the position of Children’s Ministry Director here at Lighthouse. I have been the CMD for two and a half years and love what I do! Watching the children grow in the Lord and serve others has been amazing. Because of my love for the teaching aspect as well as for directing, I rejoined our preschool family and teach a three year old class three mornings a week. What a blessing both of my jobs have been! “Teaching kids to count is fine, but teaching them WHAT COUNTS is best.” I believe this both spiritually as well as educationally. I am excited to be a part of your child’s growth and spiritual development at Lighthouse Church, to have the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus, to love and to teach your children and to witness God move through them.
